Maria Mosquera was born in Chincha, Ica, Peru, a place known for warmth, music, family, and memorable food. She grew up in a large family, where the kitchen was a natural gathering place, and she loved cooking from a young age.
Her early interest became formal training at CENFOTUR in Lima, Peru. Maria completed basic and advanced cooking courses there, with a specialization in fish and seafood. That foundation still shapes the way she approaches flavor, freshness, and hospitality.
Maria came to the United States in 2001 and has worked in restaurant kitchens since then. Over the years, she has built a practical, steady cooking style rooted in real kitchen experience, careful preparation, and the joy of feeding people well.
Today, Maria specializes in Peruvian cuisine while also preparing a variety of home-style and special occasion meals. As a private in-home chef, she works with each family or host to plan personalized meals in their kitchen, from comforting everyday dinners to birthdays and intimate gatherings.
